15 years ago while living in Maryland I started a November tradition within my gaming community there that eventually became called Orphan Thanksgiving. For my family the day was nothing special, just different food. I realized a lot of my friends also did not have any extended family in the area and many of them did nothing for the season. So I got them all together and we started doing a pot luck style lunch that is still happening to this day.
Last year I publicly restarted this tradition at World Tree, and will be hosting it again this year. This year if you would like to join us please, let me know.
